Why not take the opportunity to complete your internship abroad? In the following, you will be introduced to placement organizations that offer internships in recognized fields.
The information gives you insights about possible countries for an internships abroad and which requirements and general conditions exist (e.g. duration of the internship, placement fee, etc.), so that you gain a first insight into the topic of internships abroad. However, you are then responsible for your own application. If you are considering an internship abroad, please ask in advance whether the specific position is also recognized as an internship in your course of study.
An informational event on the topic of internships abroad is held regularly in the summer semester. This event also serves as an initial orientation. Students who have already completed an internship abroad often report on their experiences. Up to two semesters of leave can be granted for an internship abroad.

Introduction
Our society is increasingly becoming a global and multicultural association. Not only in the private sphere, but especially in the professional sphere, knowledge of languages and understanding of other civilizations are of great importance. Those who currently know languages of other countries are considered more qualified. After all, communication is the first step in crossing the threshold into a new and foreign world. Or, as the American writer, Frank Harris once said, "Every new language is like an open window that opens a new vista on the world and broadens one's outlook on life."
But as a student, what is the best and fastest way to learn a new language? How do I reconcile the additional learning of a language with my extensive bachelor's or master's studies? Who will help me?
This informational brochure about the internship abroad of the Internship Office of the Institute of Educational Science would like to offer you first assistance and suggestions to answer these questions. The internship abroad offers you the opportunity to combine practical work in the pedagogical field and the learning of a foreign language in a meaningful way. In view of the increasing demands of potential employers, who, in addition to theoretical knowledge, practical familiarity and professional experience, are also increasingly calling for additional language skills, the internship abroad offers you a good reference to help you assert yourself on the job market, even in the face of other competitors. The importance of experience abroad becomes increasingly apparent in job application procedures in your own country. With a stay abroad you signal both independence, courage and interest in the world as well as openness, flexibility and diversity of experience.
"Experience abroad is no longer icing on the cake for applicants at the top end, but is increasingly becoming a basic requirement." (FAZ Hochschul-Anzeiger, No. 73, 2004)
With this brochure we invite you to get a small insight into the multitude of placement agencies and institutions, as well as funding agencies and other institutions. Please note that we don not have experience about the quality of the placement institutions so far. The agencies can therefore only be assessed to a limited extent.
