The team of the Chair of International Organizations was active at the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) General Conference 2022, held from 22 through 26 August 2022 at the University of Innsbruck. Professor Christian Kreuder-Sonnen organized and chaired a panel on "International organizations and the management of transboundary crises", in which he presented a paper entitled "The imperfect elasticity of global governance: IGO crisis responses between expansion and contraction" (co-authored with Stephanie C. Hofmann, European University Institute).
Philip M. Tantow presented the paper "Do Tough Times Call for Informal Measures? Exploring the Crisis-Informality-Nexus", which is co-authored with Steve Biedermann (Chair of International Relations, FSU Jena). Moreover, Christian Kreuder-Sonnen served as the discussant for the panel "Contestation Management in International Organizations".
We enjoyed meeting our international colleagues and engaging in discussions in the section
"21st Century International Organizations", which was organized by Maria Debre (University of Potsdam) and Vytas Jankauskas (University of Konstanz).
