Philip M. Tantow, M.A.

Philip M. Tantow is a research and teaching fellow and a doctoral candidate in political science and international organizations at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. His PhD dissertation with the working title "Global Governance in Tough Times" investigates institutional changes in multilateral governance arrangements during crises across issue areas. He served as a student research assistant at the Collaborative Research Center 597 during his undergrad studies in political science and economics at the University of Bremen and the University of Copenhagen. As a co-founder of the Model United Nations (MUN) society at the University of Bremen, he participated in numerous international MUN conferences. He successfully completed the MA "International Relations: Global Governance and Social Theory" at the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen with a macro-quantitative study of the determinants of recurring civil wars. Afterwards, he worked as a data analyst in the private sector. Philip teaches classes related to international organizations and global governance.
