Dear IOCM-students,

dear international students, 

we are excited to welcome you to Germany and especially to Jena to kick off your studies with this year’s Welcome Days (STET), starting on October, 7th 2026.

During the STET you will receive all the information you need to get started. From discovering the most important places around Jena and the University to learning what everyday student life in Jena is like – we’ve got you covered.

Together with our STET-mentors and the student council, we want to make your transition in to German university life as smooth and as enjoyable as possible. Besides the practical information you will receive from your instructors, there will also be plenty of opportunities to meet your fellow students and make new friends.

If you have any questions, need help finding your way around Jena or simply aren’t sure what to do, even beyond the Welcome Days, don’t worry. You will have our support throughout the Welcome Days, and our mentors will be more than happy to help you.
