Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences
... is one of the largest and most heterogeneous faculties at the University of Jena, with over 3,400 students and more than 50 professors.
The seven scientific sub-disciplines - Applied Ethics, 'Educational Science, Communication Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Sports Science - reflect the diversity of the content and methods of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
In addition to the diversity, there are also common points of contact that relate, for example, to factors influencing human behaviour and the positive influencing of this behaviour. In view of the current challenges facing our society due to climate change, demographic ageing and growing social inequality, the answers to these questions provided by social and behavioural scientists are becoming increasingly important.
